One of the jewels of Jackson Square, Stanley's serves a traditional breakfast with a creole twist all day long. Expect to find several eggs benedicts to choose from, fried soft-shell crab, and decadent French toasts. It doesn't take reservations so if you run into a wait, peruse the shops in the Square, listen to the ever-flowing live music, or hang out in the park. The location couldn't be better.
Sunday Jazz Brunch is legendary. If you're in town for Easter, they're doing a special menu so get your reservation quickly.
We can't recommend Butcher enough! It's our favorite. Order everything! Don't skip the house-made pickles, the to-die-for macaroni and cheese, the brussels sprouts that crunch and burst with flavor or the perfect cookies. And those are just the sides. Every meat is prepared in house and completely off-the-charts. Don't miss it!!
This place is the real deal. On the way over you may think you've gotten lost because it's literally located in a residential neighborhood. You won't find a better fried chicken. It's legendary, and for good reason. Try to pick an off-time so you're not waiting. The line has been known to stretch the block.
A small Italian market with the best muffuletta in town, and for good reason. Open since 1906, it's owner invented the famous sandwich that will knock your socks off.

Lillette is special. The dishes are delicious, uplifting and inventive. The vibe is elegant and low key at the same time. They serve a traditional Lilette, which if you haven't had it, is a sweet liquor/wine served with salty sides you prepare the way you like. This spot is one of our favorites.
